Surrey Development Visualization

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS PURPOSE The City of Surrey’s Economic Investment Services Division is seeking a solution that implements an interactive development visualization platform to showcase major development projects, civic investments, and key destination assets in Surrey’s high growth areas. The intent of this project is to enhance investment attraction, development promotion, and tourism storytelling through a visually compelling, map-based experience. KEY OBJECTIVES The project should:• Develop a pilot visualization platform focused on major development projects in high-growth areas, including: Surrey City Centre, Campbell Heights Industrial Park and Fleetwood Town Centre, Cloverdale Town Centre, Newton Town Centre • Showcase development projects and investment opportunities alongside contextual information such as transit, infrastructure, amenities, and accessibility. • Improve Surrey's investment attraction and place-branding capabilities through enhanced visual storytelling. • Establish a scalable framework that can accommodate additional projects and map-based information and overlays over time. • The tool should be WCAG 2.0 compliant at minimum Key platform capabilities should include:• Interactive 3D representations of selected buildings and development projects. • Ability for users to explore projects at different geographic scales and levels of detail. • Transit and transportation overlays. • Amenity and accessibility information. • Distance and proximity analysis tools. • Integration with City and third-party data sources through APIs if needed • Responsive design adaptable to different screen sizes A successful project will create an interactive visualization platform that provides users with a more engaging and immersive understanding of Surrey's development activity than traditional maps and promotional materials. The primary use case will be investment attraction and development promotion by showcasing major projects, infrastructure investments, and growth opportunities within the City.
