The Town of Amherst is seeking proposals from qualified proponents to supply, deliver, and support the phased implementation of a town-wide Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) or Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system, including the replacement of existing water meters with new ultrasonic metering technology. This initiative represents the first phase of a multi-year capital program, pending Council approval, with the objective of transitioning all municipal water accounts to a fully integrated AMI or AMR system over the next five (5) years.
